Day 1 : Athens (Piraeus), Greece

Meet up with us onboard the ship.

Day 2 : At Sea

April 13, 2027 (Tuesday)

Dan and Steve present seminars at sea.

Day 3 : Thessaloniki, Greece

April 14, 2027 (Wednesday)

Our explorations today include many places the apostle Paul was known to have been as well as some traditional locations. Sites may include the Vlatadon Monastery, Church of St. Demetrius, and the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki. Actual tour description will appear here when it is available. Price: TBD

Day 5 : Thessaloniki, Greece

April 15, 2027 (Thursday)

Today you have time on your own to explore anything you did not get to see yesterday. This could include the White Tower, the waterfront promenade or the Modiano and Kapani Markets.

Day 6 : Kavala, Greece

April 16, 2027 (Friday)

Our journey takes us to the ancient city of Philippi. Full tour description coming soon.

Day 7 : At Sea

April 17, 2027 (Saturday)

Dan and Steve present seminars at sea.

Day 8 : Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey

April 18, 2027 (Sunday)

Our tour takes us to one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the world, Ephesus. We tour the terrace houses that are part of the Ephesus site. We see the Odeon, the marble street where Paul held daily discussions, the Library of Celcus, the Temple of Hadrian and the great theater. We spend several hours strolling through this site. Following this we board the bus for a quick photo stop at the Artemision or Temple of Artemis. We return to the port at Kusadasi and you have the option of remaining on land for shopping or boarding the ship and relaxing. Price: $TBD

Day 9 : Heraklion (Iraklion), Crete

April 19, 2027 (Monday)

Heraklion is near the ruins of the Knossos palace. The Knossos Palace is the only surviving palace in Crete. Full tour description will be posted here when available.

Day 10 : Rhodes, Greece

April 20, 2027 (Tuesday)

You can spend the day imagining what this area must have been like during its peak. Explore Mandraki Old Harbor, where, according to tradition, the Colossus of Rhodes once stood. Visit the village and acropolis of Lindos.

Day 11 : At Sea

April 21, 2027 (Wednesday)

Day 12 : Athens (Piraeus), Greece

April 22, 2027 (Thursday)

We start our exciting day with a one-hour scenic bus ride to visit ancient Corinth where Paul arrived in 51 AD. We take a look at the Corinth Canal and enjoy lunch featuring authentic Greek cuisine. We then head back to Athens where we visit Acropolis Hill including the Parthenon, Erechteion, Temple of Athena Nike and more. We also see Mars Hill where Paul once preached. We drive by other interesting sites as we make our way back to our ship. Price: $TBD Lunch is included.

Headliners

STEVE DENSLEY is an attorney and has been the Executive Vice President of The Interpreter Foundation since 2015. He has helped lead tours to Israel, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Italy, Greece, New England, and the Caribbean. He is a certified travel agent, a radio show host, an award-winning photographer, and has helped produce two documentary films. He formerly served as Vice President of FAIR where he received the John Taylor Defender of the Faith award. He was a producer of FAIR’s podcast when it twice won the People’s Choice Award for Best Podcast in the Religion & Spirituality category. He has published articles in Public Square Magazine, the Utah Bar Journal, the Journal of Law and Family Studies, Interpreter: A Journal of Latter-day Saint Faith and Scholarship, and Meridian Magazine. He received his law degree from the J. Reuben Clark Law School where he was a member of the Law Review and the National Moot Court team. He also graduated with University Honors from Brigham Young University with a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree in public policy and political science. He has been recognized in SuperLawyers Magazine as one of the Mountain States Rising Stars and has been listed numerous times in Utah Business Magazine as among the Utah Legal Elite. He has appeared on CNN, C-Span, BBC Radio, KUTV, KTVX, KSL Radio, KTKK Radio, and Swiss TV. He has served as the 1st Counselor in his Ward’s Bishopric, an Elders Quorum President, High councilor, Young Men’s President, Gospel Doctrine Teacher. He served a Hmong-speaking mission in the California Sacramento Mission. He and his wife Heather are the parents of four children and have two granddaughters.

Daniel C. Peterson is a religious educator and professor of Islamic Studies and Arabic in the Department of Asian and Near Eastern Languages. He received a bachelor’s degree in Greek and Philosophy from BYU and, after several years of study in Jerusalem and Cairo, earned his Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures from the University of California at Los Angeles.
