Fly to Anchorage and use the free hotel shuttle to arrive at the hotel. Overnight in Anchorage.

Denali by Train
Make your own way to the Anchorage Train Depot for your 8:20 AM train departure. We travel aboard the Wilderness Express Dome train and take in the incredible scenery. We arrive in Denali National Park around 3:40 PM and are met by our hotel shuttle. Once we have checked into the accommodations, we enjoy a mild water rafting float down the Nenana River. (B)

Denali National Park
Today we explore Denali National Park by bus. We have many rest stops and places where we have a chance to stop and take photos. We are provided with a small snack and a bottle of water, but you may wish to order your own sack lunch from the hotel as there is nowhere else to obtain food. Our experience will be largely dependent on weather and road conditions. Wildlife and scenery abound. The tour is about 6 hours long and the remainder of the day is yours to use as you desire. We overnight at the Grande Denali Lodge.
Pre-cruise Day 4MONDAY, JUNE 21
Denali - Whittier
Today we traverse the tundra of Denali as we travel by coach to our cruise ship. This is a 300 mile journey and you will enjoy the beauty of the scenery and also appreciate having an onboard lavatory. The coach will make a few stops for photos and stretching of the legs. We make a short stop at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge and you can buy to go snacks. We arrive in Anchorage and you have a bit of time to find lunch. You will also need to identify your luggage so it can be transferred to the bus taking you to Whittier and the cruise ship. We board the coach and travel along the Seward Highway to our cruise ship. Arrival times vary based on local conditions, but 5:00 PM or so is the anticipated arrival time.

Skagway, Alaska
Ride the famous White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad across the Canadian border.
Admire the beautiful scenery as you go. Listen to the prerecorded narrative telling you about the history of the area. At the train depot in Fraser, British Columbia, transfer to a bus for the return journey to Skagway as a guide regales you with humorous and interesting stories of the Klondike Gold Rush. You stop periodically to take pictures of beautiful waterfalls and mountains.

Juneau, Alaska
Our first stop is the salmon hatchery to watch and learn about the life cycle of salmon.
This interesting and educational stop also has a fish ladder so you can watch the salmon migrate upstream. There is also a fascinating aquarium onsite. See the major historical sites of the city including the Governor’s Mansion. Our guide entertains us with interesting tales of Juneau folklore.
We take a scenic drive out to the world-famous Mendenhall Glacier and its magnificent setting. We have time to walk around the park and be amazed by the spectacular beauty of the glacier. We conclude the day with a delicious Salmon Bake (chicken also available) in a relaxing outdoor atmosphere

Day 6MONDAY, JULY 26
Ketchikan, Alaska
Our day begins with the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show.
Enjoy watching logging events such as log roll, tree climbing, chain sawing and more. Following the show, we will tour the Saxman Totem Village. We then journey to Herring Bay and take in its beautiful sights. We stop at a salmon ladder and watch salmon spring from the water in route to the spawning grounds. The tour concludes at Creek Street where you can opt to return to the ship or spend some time on your own in town

Coral Princess is a Coral-class ship specializing in luxury spaces and exciting activities. You can relax by the pool or take in a show. The stunning atrium is another great place to go. There is music and lots of people-watching opportunities. This is a great ship if you are looking for something a little smaller. It has capacity for 1,970 passengers and 900 crew.

The Coral Princess is unusual in the Princess fleet for having two show lounges — the Princess Theater for main-stage productions and the Universe Lounge, a flexible space used for cooking demonstrations and smaller performances.
