Maclane Heward
Soccer coach, LDS Institute teacher, religious historian, PhD in North American Religious History
Grew up in Orem with memories of orchards and mountain biking. Graduated from Timpanogos High School and served an LDS mission to Mississippi. Earned bachelor's degree from BYU, master's degree in Religious Education from BYU, and PhD from Claremont Graduate University. Taught at BYU 2017-2019 and currently teaches at Utah Valley Institute of Religion. Passionate about Church history, believing it contains "enough inspiration to last a lifetime and beyond." Has 5 children with wife Maria and resides in Cedar Hills.
