Explore the highlights of Iceland, Norway, and more with John as your guide. Built on islands extending into the sea, Ålesund’s scenic views of fjords and the Sunnmore Alps is accented by the unique Jugend-style architecture. A memorable highlight of our tour in Ísafjörđur allows us to take an inside look into the lives of the locals at the Hversdagssafn Museum of Everyday Life. See a 100’ geysir and Gullfoss Waterfall as we travel the Golden Circle in Reykjavik. Sailing with Brent and our adventurous LDS group will create memories to last a lifetime!

Join us for our pre-cruise tour of the highlights in London and early church history. We also offer a 2-night post-cruise tour of the southern coast of Iceland. More information on the excursions and tours will be available 4-6 months prior to the cruise.

Day 11 : London, England

Optional 2-night tour of London with hotel and transfer is available. We attend church with a local congregation. Price TBD.

Day 10 : Brussels/Bruges (Zeebrugge), Belgium

June 23, 2025 (Monday)

We visit two of the cities considered historic gem cities of Belgium, Bruges and Ghent. These medieval cites have been declared UNESCO World Heritage sites. We stroll through Ghent and see St. Bavo's Cathedral, the City Hall and St. Nicholas' Church. Our guide will points out the mighty fortress that was the former residence of the Counts of Flanders. We have time on our own to find a tasty lunch. We visit Brugge and see the romantic Minnewater and visit the Beguinage. We enjoy a boat ride on the city's narrow canals and learn more about the history of this town. Price TBD

Day 9 : Amsterdam, Netherlands

June 24, 2025 (Tuesday)

Experience a small part of Amsterdam as we stroll along, but look out for the bicyclists. Pedestrians do not have the right of way here. Our guide shares the history of Amsterdam as we walk to our canal boat. We board the boat and enjoy a guided tour of the canals of Amsterdam. We learn all about the unique houseboats and other watercraft as well as the unique aspects of the architecture of the buildings found along the waterway. Following our boat ride we head out to the countryside. Here we see the classic traditional windmills. We visit the historic town of Edam and enjoy its adorable homes and fairy tale canals. We enjoy lunch at a farm where we learn about the making of the traditional Dutch wooden clogs and sample some delicious cheeses. All too soon we head back to our cruise ship. Lunch is included. We experience the stunning landscape for which Norway is famous. We see waterfalls, fjords, steep mountains and fruit orchards. We get up close to four breathtaking waterfalls and we have the chance walk behind one of them. These falls include Fosen Bratte, Steindalsfossen, and Skjervsfossen. We travel along one of Norway's 18 scenic driving routes and are brought alongside the majestic Hardangerfjord, the fifth longest fjord in the world. Our tour includes a light snack for us to enjoy as we travel. Our guide will likely add some surprise stops to the tour. Price TBD

Day 5 : Geiranger, Norway

We spend the afternoon exploring the Highlights and the natural wonders of the Geirangerfjord. Geiranger is nestled inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Geirangerfjord. We enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking this beautiful area. We drive through the Norwegian countryside stopping often to take photos and to admire the views. We see glaciers and perhaps some wildlife. The jagged sea cliffs, pine-covered valleys and iridescent waters in this area served as an inspiration for Frozen. Lunch is included. Price TBD

Day 6 : Alesund, Norway

June 28, 2025 (Saturday)

We start off with a visit to the Stavkirke Ørskog Church which has been in operation since 1873. This congregation existed for many centuries previously, but the church itself was built in 1873. We visit the picturesque valley of Valldal which is known for its fruit and beautiful alpine mountains. We go to Tafjord which is a village located on the end of the Tajforden. We stop and see the Gudbrandsjuvet waterfall. Our tour includes a journey along the Trollstigen, a serpentine mountain road. Throughout the day we make many stops to allow for photos and the opportunity to soak in the beautiful landscapes. Price TBD

Day 3 : Akureyri, Iceland

Nestled along the shores of one of the most breathtaking fjords in Iceland, Akureyri is the nation’s second largest urban area and a center of Icelandic folk culture. We head west from Akureyri along the Trollaskagi or Peninsula of the Trolls. It is one of the most spectacular sections of the Arctic Coast Way. The Arctic Coast Way encompasses 900 km of the North Icelandic coast, six peninsulas and six islands. We see some of Iceland's tallest mountains outside of the highlands and pass charming fishing villages. We stop at the towns of Hjalteyri, Hauganes, Dalvik and Siglufjordur. Siglufjordur was once known as the "herring capital of Iceland." As we take in all of the history, we are treated to beautiful views of the ocean and the many islands located along our route. Day 2 : Isafjordur, Iceland

July 1, 2025 (Tuesday)

We head directly to the Dynjandi Waterfall. This waterfall is a majestic icon of the Westfjords. It is a series of seven waterfalls falling like a bridal veil from the edge of a cliff. We spend about an hour in this area before driving along and Arnarfjordur and the Dyrafjordur. The Arnafjordur is the longest Fjord in Iceland and is rumored to be home to sea monsters. On Dyrafjordur we visit the town of Thingeyri, one of the oldest settlements in the Westfjords. History tells us this is where the regional Viking assembly was held and it is also the first trading post of the Westfjords. We continue our adventure with an impressive view of the Westfjords Alps and a brief photo stop. All too soon it is time for us to return to our ship. Price TBD

There's a good reason that Iceland is considered a photographer's dream destination. Its terrain is visually stunning, offering views of lava flows, hot springs, unspoiled nature – and colorful, fascinating cities like Reykjavik. The world's most northerly capital brings together quaint villages, exciting museums, a flourishing music scene and restaurants that rival Europe's finest. Headliners

Brent L. Top is Professor Emeritus of Church History & Doctrine at Brigham Young University and former Dean of Religious Education. Immediately prior to his retirement from BYU he was the Richard L. Evans Distinguished Professor of Religious Understanding at Brigham Young University. In his thirty-five years on the Religion faculty at BYU, Brent has authored or co-authored more than 20 books and numerous articles on doctrinal, scriptural, historical, and sociological. subjects. Dr. Top and his family lived in Israel when he taught Old and New Testament at the BYU Jerusalem Center for Near-Eastern Studies. He has traveled extensively in the Holy Land and has led scores of tours. Most recently, Brent served as mission president/site leader at the Mormon Battalion Historic Site in San Diego (2022-2024) and was president of the Illinois Peoria Mission (2004-2007). In both of these capacities he and his wife, Wendy were continually immersed in the people, places, and events of Latter-day Saint History. He has led several tours to those important sites where foundational events of the Restoration transpired. He is a popular speaker at BYU Campus Education Week and has often presented at BYU Women’s Conference and many other settings. He and Wendy love to travel with Bountiful Travel and from those tours have made many new life-long friends. Brent and Wendy currently live in the St. George, Utah area surrounded by red rocks and plenty of adventures.
