Day 1 : Depart Southampton, London

July 27, 2023 (Thursday)

Pre-Cruise Tour OPTION A: 3-Night Tour London, Liverpool, Preston or OPTION B: 2-Night Tour Manchester, Liverpool, Preston. Depart Southampton, London on the Norwegian Dawn.

Day 2 : Portland, England

July 28, 2023 (Friday)

Get ready for an exciting journey along the Jurassic Coast. Our guide will give us information about the area as we travel to Corfe Castle which was built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror. We will enjoy exploring the remains of the castle and then spend some time in Corfe Village. We then go to Lulworth Cove where we see fascinating natural features such as Stair Hole and Lulworth Crumple which are believed to have formed over 180 million years ago. We will wander down the slope to the famous Durdle Door, one of the most accessible limestone archways in the world. We stroll through Weymouth's old harbor as we enjoy the beautiful waterfront. Finally, we stop for a view of Portland itself as we journey through the countryside on our way back to the port. $120 per person, if paying by check.

Day 3 : Cork Cobh, Ireland

July 29, 2023 (Saturday)

This tour begins with a scenic drive through the Irish countryside on our way to Kinsale Village. We stop along the way for photos at Charlesfort. Then we enjoy some time strolling through the picturesque streets of Kinsale. We head to Cork City where we will enjoy the sights from our coach. We continue to the village of Blarney. We visit the famous Blarney Castle. Those who wish can kiss the famous Blarney Stone or just take in the scenery from atop the ramparts. We will have time to walk around the grounds or shop at the Blarney Woolen Mills. Our tour ends with another opportunity to enjoy the Irish countryside as we return to the port of Cobh. $130 per person, if paying by check.

Day 4 : Belfast, Northern Ireland

July 30, 2023 (Sunday)

Today we board our bus for a tour of the city of Belfast. We see sites such as Stormont, City Hall, Queens University, The Falls, Shankill Road with the peace wall and the renowned Belfast Murals. Our guide will share the turbulent and amazing history of Belfast, before releasing us for some free time for shopping or eating. Next we head to the Titanic Centre. This incredible museum brings the story of the Titanic to life. In the self-guided Titanic Experience you will uncover the sights, sounds, smells and stories of the ship, as well as the people and the city that made her. You learn about those who sailed on the Titanic on that fateful day. Following this experience, we return to our own ship. $130 per person, if paying by check.

Day 5 : Dublin Dun Laoghaire, Ireland

July 31, 2023 (Monday)

We begin with a drive into the city of Dublin where we will enjoy a guided tour of the city. We stop at Trinity College and have the opportunity to see the Book of Kells. The Book of Kells is an illuminated manuscript of the four Gospels. We then have time on our own in Dublin center. Following our free time, we will see more of the city before returning to the port. $130 per person, if paying by check.

Day 6 : Stornoway United Kingdom, Great Britain

August 1, 2023 (Tuesday)

We explore the Western Isles of the Hebrides. We enjoy coastal vistas as we visit the Arnol Blackhouse, the Callandish Standing Stones and Carloway Broch. The Callandish Standing Stones are older than the Pyramids of Giza. Our tour includes a stop at one of the pristine white sand beaches, but we will not be swimming. We soak in all of the views as we enjoy this remote and beautiful place. We spend time in Stornoway itself. Stornoway is the largest town of the Western Isles and the capital of Lewis and Harris. $110 per person, if paying by check.

Day 7 : Newhaven, Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom

August 2, 2023 (Wednesday)

Edinburgh, the "Athens of the North," is filled with rich history and interesting architecture. We start with a stroll up Calton Hill as we gain an overview of the city. We will explore the imposing Edinburgh Catle with its Crown Jewels, Stone of Scone, prisons, war memorial, State Rooms and King James Bible beginnings. We spend time on the Royal Mile. As we see Edinburgh, we learn how the Scottish Reformation was different from the English version and see how key players like John Knox, George Wishart, and Patrick Hamilton made their contribution. We also follow the challenges of our 1840 missionaries. We relive Orson Pratt’s Scottish mission and learn of the first Scottish missionary efforts of Alexander Wright and Samuel Mulliner. We discover why this is the birthplace of the Articles of Faith. $120 per person, if paying by check.

Day 8 : Invergordon, Great Britian

August 3, 2023 (Thursday)

Today we will have a chance to catch a glimpse of the famous Loch Ness Monster! We begin our tour with a scenic drive from the dock inland to Loch Ness. We stop briefly in the Highland village of Beauly. We will see the Urquhart Castle ruins from our boat as we sail on the Loch Ness. We enjoy time on our own in the city of Inverness, before visiting the Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last Jacobite battle in the 1745-1746 rebellion. We then head back to our ship. $170 per person, if paying by check.

Day 9 : Newcastle Tyne, United Kingdom

August 4, 2023 (Friday)

Prepare to step back in time. Today we journey to Hadrian's Wall. We have time to stroll along the wall. We visit Housteads Roman fort which was built around 124 AD. It is one of the largest forts along the wall. We learn about the lives of the soldiers who once lived, fought and defended Rome's most northerly frontier. We enjoy a delicious lunch together before heading to the Vindolanda Roman fort. The Vindolanda museum is one of the best museums in the British Isles for Roman history. We then board our coach and return to our ship. $120 per person, if paying by check, lunch included.

Day 11 : Arrival in Copenhagen, Denmark

August 6, 2023 (Sunday)

Today we have the opportunity to explore the city of Copenhagen. We attend Sacrament Services with a local Danish Ward. We experience Copenhagen by boat as we sail along the canals. We visit Christiansborg Palace which has 800 years of Danish history. We will see many important and interesting parts of the Copenhagen some of which might include The Old and New Squares, The Parliament, The Royal Library Gardens, City Hall and Statue of Absalon. After a day of exploration and adventure, we arrive at our hotel for a good night's rest. The next morning you can take the free hotel shuttle to the airport. $280 per person, if paying by check. Hank is a master teacher. He is super fun and engaging and youth love him. He grew up in St. George, Utah. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Dixie State University (2002), his MBA (2005) from Utah State University, and his PhD in educational leadership (2014) from Brigham Young University. He is currently an instructor at BYU. In addition to his work in consulting with companies and families, Hank has presented a nationwide Best of Especially for Youth, Retreat for Girls, Time to Blossom, and Time Out for Girls programs, several University Education Weeks, public school assemblies, and various forums around the country. Hank has also authored many books and Audio CD with Covenant Communications. Hank and his wife, Sara, currently live in Mapleton, Utah. Hank says that, “Sara is amazing, she knows everything about me and still loves me.” They have 5 adorable children. Hank enjoys running marathons (15 so far) and eating lots of ice cream, which is why he runs marathons. More than anything else he loves being with his wonderful wife and children.

Casey Paul Griffiths is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is a director of BYU’s Church History Travel Study, leader of the BYU Interfaith Outreach efforts to Community of Christ, and President of the BYU Latter-day Saint Educators Society. He is the author of numerous books and articles on Latter-day Saint history, including What You Don’t Know About the 100 Most Important Events in Church History, authored with Susan Easton Black and Mary Jane Woodger. He has been a popular speaker and session director with EFY and BYU Education Week for nearly two decades, and has traveled around the world presenting his research and speaking on the history of the Latter-day Saints. He lives in Saratoga Springs with his wife, Elizabeth, and their four adorable children.
