Portland, England is known for it’s famous Portland Stone – a beautiful limestone carved centuries ago. The Portland Stone is only one of the many beautiful works of art located in the city. This unique island has plenty of scenery along it’s coast and excellent museums.

Day 3 : Cork Cobh, Ireland

Ireland’s third largest city is a wonderful walking city built on the River Lee. Visit St. Finn Barre’s Cathedral, a wonderful, triple-spired example of French-gothic architecture, and spend some time in The Old Gaol, where original 19th century cells tell some fascinating tales.

Visit Ireland’s capital – a beautiful city known for building the Titanic. While you’re here you can visit Belfast City Hall, St George’s Market – a famous Victorian market, or check out the Belfast Botanical Gardens.

Day 4 : Dublin Dun Laoghaire, Ireland

Your visit in Dublin Dun Laoghaire will take you right back to Victorian times when you see the incredible architecture throughout the city. Visit one of the city’s popular museums, walk along the city walk, or simply admire the glistening coast of Dublin Bay.

Explore Kirkwall and see the very best that the Orkney Islands have to offer. You’ll find a variety of delicious restaurants and cafes in the town centre – which was named Scotland’s Most Beautiful High Street. Don’t forget to check out the Orkney Museum while you’re here.

Day 8 : Invergordon, Great Britian

The Scottish Highlands are home to famous battles, historic castles and to an even more famous legendary sea monster: Nessie of Loch Ness. Explore Inverness’ picturesque riverside on foot. You’ll pass by the 18th-century Old High Church and the Castle of Inverness, built of red sandstone in 1863 on the site of an 11th-century fortress.

Day 9 : Newcastle Tyne, United Kingdom

August 4, 2023 (Friday)
Explore Newcastle Tyne’s spectacular bridges and breathtaking views. Grab a bite to eat at one of their many delicious restaurants or visit a museum all while discovering the fascinating history of this city.

Passports: Passports are required for this sailing and must be good for at least 6 months prior to the end of the cruise.


Hank Smith
Hank is a master teacher. He is super fun and engaging and youth love him. He grew up in St. George, Utah. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Dixie State University (2002), his MBA (2005) from Utah State University, and his PhD in educational leadership (2014) from Brigham Young University. He is currently an instructor at BYU. In addition to his work in consulting with companies and families, Hank has presented a nationwide Best of Especially for Youth, Retreat for Girls, Time to Blossom, and Time Out for Girls programs, several University Education Weeks, public school assemblies, and various forums around the country. Hank has also authored many books and Audio CD with Covenant Communications. Hank and his wife, Sara, currently live in Mapleton, Utah. Hank says that, “Sara is amazing, she knows everything about me and still loves me.” They have 5 adorable children. Hank enjoys running marathons (15 so far) and eating lots of ice cream, which is why he runs marathons. More than anything else he loves being with his wonderful wife and children.
Casey Griffiths
Casey Paul Griffiths is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Church History and Doctrine at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He is a director of BYU’s Church History Travel Study, leader of the BYU Interfaith Outreach efforts to Community of Christ, and President of the BYU Latter-day Saint Educators Society. He is the author of numerous books and articles on Latter-day Saint history, including What You Don’t Know About the 100 Most Important Events in Church History, authored with Susan Easton Black and Mary Jane Woodger. He has been a popular speaker and session director with EFY and BYU Education Week for nearly two decades, and has traveled around the world presenting his research and speaking on the history of the Latter-day Saints. He lives in Saratoga Springs with his wife, Elizabeth, and their four adorable children.
