British Isles & Early Church History Cruise

This tour begins with a scenic drive through the Irish countryside on our way to Cork City where we enjoy the sights from our coach. We plan to attend Sacrament Meeting with a local church unit. We continue to the village of Blarney. We visit the famous Blarney Castle. Those who wish can kiss the famous Blarney Stone or just take in the scenery from atop the ramparts. We have time to walk around the grounds or shop at the Blarney Woolen Mills. Our tour ends with another opportunity to enjoy the Irish countryside as we return to the port of Cobh. Today is an opportunity to see and explore a portion of Northern Wales. We visit the town of Conwy. It was built in the 1200s and one of the best castles of Wales is found here. We have the opportunity to walk along the castle walls and enjoy the views. We visit Betws-Y-Coed another interesting town. We see the Denorwig Valley and go to Snowdonia National Park. We spend time in Caernarfon which is another town from the 1200s. We make a short stop in the town of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. Yep, no typo here, this is the town with the longest name in all of the UK. Price: $130 per person when paying by check or ACH

Today we focus on early church history in Great Britain. We come away with a greater understanding of how the church developed in this area as we learn about the Liverpool and Preston areas. Our LDS guide is very knowledgeable and he shares many things with us at every stop. We walk along the the famous Royal Albert Dock where many saints boarded ships for America. We drive to St. Leonard's Church in Downham and learn of some miracles that took place here. We make a short photo stop at the Preston Temple and see the footbridge over the River Ribble (where the first baptisms in England were performed). We enjoy lunch at Avenham Park and see the plaques dedicated to early saints. Then we return to our cruise ship. Tour Price: $125 per person when paying by check or ACH, lunch included

Get in touch with your Viking and Celtic heritage while visiting the Isle of Man. Museums, castles and more are available for your enlightenment. Explore this island haven on your own.

Come prepared for adventure. We journey into the Scottish Highlands. We visit Trossarchs National Park and perhaps more notably we have the opportunity to take a photo along the "bonnie banks of Loch Lomond." The haunting melody carries us along as we make our way to Kilchurn Castle. We take a short, flat hike through the Scottish Country side to reach Kilchurn Castle. The access to the castle is sometimes affected by water levels on Loch Awe, but we do our best to walk up to these isolated ruins. Following this experience, we go to the town of Inveraray and enjoy time on our own for shopping or for an additional fee, exploring Inveraray Castle itself. As we journey back toward our cruise ship, we stop at Rest and Be Thankful, a well-known viewpoint, for a photo. Our final stop is the tranquil village of Luss. You can stroll on the white sandy beach or just enjoy the beautiful setting. Price: $110 per person.

Today we board our bus for a tour of the city of Belfast. We see sites such as Stormont, City Hall, Queens University, The Falls, Shankill Road with the peace wall and the renowned Belfast Murals. Our guide shares the turbulent and amazing history of Belfast, before releasing us for some free time for shopping or eating. Next we head to the Titanic Centre. This incredible museum brings the story of the Titanic to life. In the self-guided Titanic Experience you uncover the sights, sounds, smells and stories of the ship, as well as the people and the city that made her. You learn about those who sailed on the Titanic on that fateful day. Following this experience, we return to our own ship. Price: $110 per person when paying by check or ACH
