Join John Bytheway on a Book of Mormon cruise adventure. This 7-day cruise on the Carnival Celebration departs out of Miami. It includes stops in Honduras and Mexico. During the days on the ship, you’ll have the opportunity to attend Book of Mormon classes taught by John. You will love the private tours we offer in each stop. We will visit some amazing ruins including San Gervasio and Chacchoben. John will help bring the scriptures to life as he teaches onboard the ship and on site. Day 1 : Miami, FL

April 13, 2025 (Sunday)

Join us for a 1-night pre-cruise hotel and transfer.

Day 2 : Fun Day at Sea

April 14, 2025 (Monday)

Book of Mormon Seminars during the day with John.

Day 3 : Cozumel, Mexico

April 15, 2025 (Tuesday)

Take in the sights of Cozumel from open-air Jeeps. You have the opportunity to drive a Jeep. We enjoy peaceful time at the San Gervasio ruins. An authentic Mexican lunch is included. We conclude the adventure with a visit to a beach club where we enjoy snorkeling (all equipment is included) and relaxing on the beach. We then hop back in the Jeeps and return to our ship. Day 4 : Costa Maya, Mexico

April 16, 2025 (Wednesday)

On this tour we enjoy the jungle setting of Chacchoben and its majestic ruins. This site existed during the late Book of Mormon times. Learn how the structures and rituals of the Maya relate to the Book of Mormon and LDS beliefs. After visiting the ruins, we travel to a little Maya village where we have the opportunity to see how the Maya lived. We enjoy an amazing, traditional Maya lunch and may even join in making the corn tortillas. The Maya experience at the village has become a favorite for many guests. Price: TBD

Day 5 : Roatan, Honduras

April 17, 2025 (Thursday)

We begin with a short tour of the island. As we head over to the East side of the island, you learn of the island’s history and its inhabitants. You see the shipwrecks at Dixon Cove, local fishing boats at French Harbor and visit a monkey farm, where you can play with the monkeys and usually hold a sloth. We then visit West End Village where we have an authentic local lunch waiting for us at the beach. Here we spend a couple hours before heading back to the ship. You can snorkel (snorkel equipment is included and there is a nice reef just off the beach), swim or just relax. Roatan Zipline: Add a thrilling zipline adventure to your island tour. Zipline through the jungles from 13 different platforms. The zipline is located just a few minutes away from the beach. For those doing the zipline, you go to the zipline right before lunch. We then bring you back to the beach. The price is an additional $45 per person. You pay for this when you get to the zipline. Price: TBD

Ship Information: Carnival Celebration

Whether you’re onboard or onshore, family time is bound to be a fantastic time! Games, events and activities are going on all over the ship throughout the day and into the evening hours. Headliners

New
John was born and raised in Salt Lake City, and he served his mission in the Philippines. Following his mission he attended the University of Utah, and later graduated from BYU. John has taught the Book of Mormon at Brigham Young University, and the BYU Salt Lake Center since 1996. In 2003, he earned a Master’s Degree in Religious Education. He is the author of more than two dozen books and CDs many of which, he says, are effective non-prescription sleep-aids. He loves to golf, write, read, and play the banjo and guitar. John is a founding member of the local chapter of the Andy Griffith Show Re-run Watchers Club, and does a spot-on impersonation of Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife. John was recently released as bishop of the Salt Lake Winder 10th Ward, and is now teaching Sunday School with his wife, Kim. John and Kim have six children and a completely full SUV which doubles in value when it’s full of gasoline.
