See some of the best Mayan sites that can be seen from a cruise ship and learn how they may have related to the peoples of the Book of Mormon. During the days on the ship, you’ll have the opportunity to attend Book of Mormon classes taught by John. You will love the private tours we offer in each stop. This is a great ship for families and fun. Our presenter brings the scriptures to life as he teaches onboard the ship and on site. Day 1 : Depart Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Meet up with us onboard the ship. Depart from Ft. Lauderdale.

Day 2 : Fun Day at Sea

Book of Mormon Seminars during the day.

Day 3 : Fun Day at Sea

Day 4 : Roatan, Honduras

January 19, 2027 (Tuesday)

Today we get to spend time relaxing and enjoying time on the beach. We are taken to a great beach where you have your own beach chair and can enjoy spending the time as you desire. Lunch and a beverage are included with your tour. You can rent snorkeling equipment for an additional fee. Tour Price: TBD, lunch included. Roatan Zipline(optional): Add a thrilling zipline adventure to your island tour. Zipline through the jungles from 13 different platforms. The zipline is located just a few minutes away from the beach. For those doing the zipline, you go to the zipline right before lunch. We then bring you back to the beach. The price is an additional $45 per person. You pay cash for this when you get to the zipline.

Day 5 : Belize City, Belize

January 20, 2027 (Wednesday)

Take an exciting speedboat ride down the New River to get to the amazing Maya ruins of Lamanai. These ruins date back to the Book of Mormon time period. Climb the huge temples, search for howler monkeys or just enjoy the beautiful jungle setting. We enjoy an authentic Belizean lunch. This is a can’t-miss excursion when visiting the Western Caribbean. This tour is consistently rated very highly by our guests.

Day 6 : Cozumel, Mexico

January 21, 2027 (Thursday)

We take a ferry from Cozumel to the mainland and visit the ruins of Tulum. The Tulum Mayan ruins offer an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea and transport you back to ancient times. Our LDS guide offers many insights as we walk around the ruins. We enjoy lunch on our tour and spend time learning about those who lived here. Tour Price: TBD Lunch included.

Day 7 : Fun Day at Sea

Day 8 : Return to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

January 23, 2027 (Saturday)

Star Princess made its debut in 2025. You will notice it is a much newer ship and has similar amenities to the Sun Princess. The ship has more than 1,500 crew ready to help you enjoy your time aboard. You have lots of dining options, many venues for live music and an amazing theater to catch great shows. John Bytheway
New
John was born and raised in Salt Lake City, and he served his mission in the Philippines. Following his mission he attended the University of Utah, and later graduated from BYU. John is the co-host of the Follow Him podcast with Hank Smith. John has taught the Book of Mormon and the New Testament at Brigham Young University, and the BYU Salt Lake Center since 1996. In 2003, he earned a Master’s Degree in Religious Education. He is the author of more than two dozen books and CDs many of which, he says, are effective non-prescription sleep-aids. He loves to golf, write, read, and play the banjo and guitar. John is a founding member of the local chapter of the Andy Griffith Show Re-run Watchers Club, and does a spot-on impersonation of Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife. John has served as a bishop, and was recently released as a member of the Young Men’s General Advisory Council (formerly known as the General Board). John and Kim’s children have served missions in France, Iceland, Tahiti and West Virginia, and another son is currently serving in Uruguay.
