Explore the highlights of Iceland, Norway, and more with John as your guide. Built on islands extending into the sea, Ålesund’s scenic views of fjords and the Sunnmore Alps is accented by the unique Jugend-style architecture. A memorable highlight of our tour in Ísafjörđur allows us to take an inside look into the lives of the locals at the Hversdagssafn Museum of Everyday Life. See a 100’ geysir and Gullfoss Waterfall as we travel the Golden Circle in Reykjavik. Sailing with John and our adventurous LDS group will create memories to last a lifetime!

Join us for our 2-night pre-cruise tour in Reykjavik and a 1-night post-cruise tour of the highlights in London. More information on the excursions and tours will be available 4-6 months prior to the cruise.

Day 1 : Reykjavik, Iceland

There's a good reason that Iceland is considered a photographer's dream destination. Its terrain is visually stunning, offering views of lava flows, hot springs, unspoiled nature – and colorful, fascinating cities like Reykjavik. The world's most northerly capital brings together quaint villages, exciting museums, a flourishing music scene and restaurants that rival Europe's finest.

Day 2 : Isafjordur, Iceland

As the largest town in Iceland’s remote Westfjords’s region, Ísafjörður is a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts. Originally a church site and a 16th century trading post, the town of Ísafjörður is home to wonderful museums and historic sites for those wishing to learn about the region’s rich heritage and local culture.

Day 3 : Akureyri, Iceland

Nestled along the shores of one of the most breathtaking fjords in Iceland, Akureyri is the nation’s second largest urban area and a center of Icelandic folk culture. Visit the museums, hike along the extraordinary vistas or explore the botanical gardens.

One of Norway's most beautiful towns, renowned for its Jugend-style architecture and art nouveau style. Cruise visitors will immediately notice Ålesund's unique layout, as it is built on islands extending to the sea, and offers scenic views of fjords and the Sunnmore Alps. Ålesund is the fishing capital of Norway.

Day 7 : Bergen, Norway

July 10, 2024 (Wednesday)

View this lovely and charming Norwegian city from your cruise ship and you'll see how the city is nestled between seven mountains, seven fjords and the North Sea. The Norwegian King resided here, and many historical events took place in this busy port. These events come alive when you amble down the old streets of Bryggen, past picturesque, wooden buildings and the Romanesque-style St. Mary's church

Final payment:  is due February 28, 2024.

Deposit is refundable prior to final payment without penalty. Within three months of the cruise, the tours and cruise are non-refundable. Space can be recalled at anytime before the sail date so BOOK EARLY!

Passports: Passports are required for this sailing and must be good for at least 6 months prior to the end of the cruise.

Headliners

John Bytheway
New
John was born and raised in Salt Lake City, and he served his mission in the Philippines. Following his mission he attended the University of Utah, and later graduated from BYU. John has taught the Book of Mormon at Brigham Young University, and the BYU Salt Lake Center since 1996. In 2003, he earned a Master’s Degree in Religious Education. He is the author of more than two dozen books and CDs many of which, he says, are effective non-prescription sleep-aids. He loves to golf, write, read, and play the banjo and guitar. John is a founding member of the local chapter of the Andy Griffith Show Re-run Watchers Club, and does a spot-on impersonation of Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife. John was recently released as bishop of the Salt Lake Winder 10th Ward, and is now teaching Sunday School with his wife, Kim. John and Kim have six children and a completely full SUV which doubles in value when it’s full of gasoline.
