Day 1 : Seattle, Washington

Day 2 : Cruising

August 1, 2023 (Tuesday)

Day 4 : Ketchikan, Alaska

August 2, 2023 (Wednesday)

Our day begins with the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show. Enjoy watching logging events such as log roll, tree climbing, chain sawing and more. Following the show, we will tour the Saxman Totem Village. We then journey to Herring Bay and take in its beautiful sights. We stop at a salmon ladder and watch salmon spring from the water en route to the spawning grounds. The tour concludes at Creek Street where you can opt to return to the ship or spend some time on your own in town. $135 per person, if paying by check.

Day 3 : Sitka, Alaska

August 3, 2023 (Thursday)

Enjoy one of the best excursions in Alaska, a whale watching adventure. View these massive whales from the comfort of a heated cabin or from the outside deck of these custom whale watching boats. A light snack and non-alcoholic beverage are included. We spend about 3 hours on the tour. $248 per person, if paying by check.

Day 5 : Endicott Arm & Dawes Glacier (Cruising) & Juneau, Alaska

August 4, 2023 (Friday)

Our next stop is the salmon hatchery to watch and learn about the life cycle of salmon. This interesting and educational stop also has a fish ladder so you can watch the salmon migrate upstream. See the major historical sites of the city including the Governor’s Mansion. Our guide will entertain us with interesting tales of Juneau folklore. We will take a scenic drive out to the world-famous Mendenhall Glacier and its magnificent setting. We will have time to walk around the park and be amazed by the spectacular beauty of the glacier. We conclude the day with a delicious Salmon Bake. $170 per person, if paying by check.

We ride our double-decker bus to the famous Butchart Gardens. The gardens have been designated as a National Historic Site of Canada. We have time on our own to enjoy and admire the beauty of the 55 acres of internationally renowned floral and botanical displays. These magnificent grounds are an absolute must-see experience. We hop aboard our bus and on the way back to the port, we enjoy a quick drive past the Government House, China Town District and the world-famous Empress Hotel. $80 per person, if paying by check.

Day 8 : Seattle, Washington

A $250 deposit, per person, is required to confirm your booking.
Deposit is refundable prior to final payment without penalty. Final payment is due on April 25th, 2023. Within three months of the cruise, the tours and cruise are non-refundable. Space can be recalled at anytime before the sail date so BOOK EARLY!
Passports: Passports are recommended for this sailing. Passports ARE required for international travel by air and for this reason we STRONGLY recommend them.

Al Carraway is a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ, writer, multi-award-winning international speaker, and author of the best-selling books, “Wildly Optimistic,” “More Than the Tattooed Mormon,” and “Cheers to Eternity!” After a decade spent in Arizona & Utah, she is now living with her husband, Ben, and her three kids, Gracie, Christian, and Mercie back where she was raised, in New York. She has spent the last 11 years traveling Worldwide inspiring others of her conversion and faith through difficult times. Her passion is to tell everyone that happiness exists, and it comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ. That He’s real. And how to find and love Him in the hard, in the unwanted, and the unexpected. Because through it all, with God, we have every reason to be wildly optimistic.

John Bytheway

John was born and raised in Salt Lake City, and he served his mission in the Philippines. Following his mission he attended the University of Utah, and later graduated from BYU. John has taught the Book of Mormon at Brigham Young University, and the BYU Salt Lake Center since 1996. In 2003, he earned a Master’s Degree in Religious Education. He is the author of more than two dozen books and CDs many of which, he says, are effective non-prescription sleep-aids. He loves to golf, write, read, and play the banjo and guitar. John is a founding member of the local chapter of the Andy Griffith Show Re-run Watchers Club, and does a spot-on impersonation of Deputy Sheriff Barney Fife. John was recently released as bishop of the Salt Lake Winder 10th Ward, and is now teaching Sunday School with his wife, Kim. John and Kim have six children and a completely full SUV which doubles in value when it’s full of gasoline.
