Terry Ball is an Emeritus Professor of Ancient Scripture at Brigham Young University. He is a former Dean of Religious Education and Chair of the Department of Ancient Scripture. Prior to teaching at BYU he spent 12 years as a Seminary and Institute teacher. He received his B.S. from BYU in Botany and Education. His M.A. is from BYU in Ancient Near Eastern Studies, and his Ph.D. is in Archaeobotany with emphasis in the ancient Near East. Over the past 40 years as a religious educator he has taught, researched, and published extensively on Old Testament, Isaiah, and Book of Mormon studies. He has also taught and traveled extensively in the Holy Land, including teaching at the BYU Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies.
