Daily Itinerary
Day 1 (Sunday) – Today we will fly to Flores, Guatemala, where we will stay at the beautiful Peten Esplendido that overlooks the lake.

Day 2 (Monday) – After our buffet breakfast at the Peten Esplendido, we will visit the awe-inspiring ruins of Tikal including the lost world complex which dates back to Book of Mormon times. We will discuss the East Wilderness of the Book of Mormon from both a historical and spiritual perspective. Our guide will teach about the incredible rainforest and the Maya ruins. We will climb Temple 4 for the amazing view of the surrounding forest canopy. A delicious lunch will be served at Tikal. After our visit to Tikal, we will board the bus and head back to our hotel. Day 3 (Tuesday) – Following breakfast, we will pack up and start our bus ride to Belize. Along the way, we will stop at the amazing ruins of Yax Ha, which is one of the four largest Maya sites that has been excavated. This site dates back to Book of Mormon times and is known for the its size but also for its amazing sacbe (roads that connect to other Maya sites). This site became a popular tourist destination a few years ago after being the location of the TV series “Survivor”. Following our visit to the site, we will stop for lunch and continue on to our hotel in Belize City. (B,L,D)

Day 4 (Wednesday) – Today will be an adventurous day as we travel out to the resart area of Jaguar Paw. This area is known for its underground river system. Here we will take about a 45 minute hike through the rainforest, we will arrive at a location where we can cliff jump (if you want) into the river where we will begin a leisurely tubing trip through the Belizean caves. You will be supplied with a tube and lamp (for your head) to float down the river. There is also a zipline that is optional at the resort as well for those who would like to zipline through the Belizean forrest. (B,L,D)

Day 5 (Thursday) – Following breakfast, we will go to Belize City where we will catch a water taxi out to the beautiful Belizean Cayes. Belize is world famous for its snorkeling and scuba. Snorkeling is included in the tour. For those who would like to Scuba, this is a great place to do it. You will go with the group to Caye Caulker and from there head to the scuba locations while the rest of the group snorkels. We will meet back and the island for lunch and free time on the beach. (B,L,D)

Day 6 (Friday) – Today we’ll take an exciting speed-boat ride down the New River. Once we arrive at the ruins of Lamanai, we’ll enjoy a Belizean lunch and then begin our exploration. This magnificent features ruins, wildlife and fauna. Look for howler monkeys, climb ruins, or relax by a Maya ballcourt. After a full day at the ruin, we’ll head back to our hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 7 (Saturday) -  Free Day — We will help you arrange to go back out to the islands for some sun and fun, visit the Maya ruins of Altun Ha, or even go cave exploring.

Day 8 (Sunday) – Flights Home — for those with afternoon flights, we will attend church in the morning.
